After you sign up, Porter texts you on WhatsApp and walks you through a simple conversation to set up your property. It asks about WiFi, check-in instructions, house rules, and anything else your guests might need. The whole thing takes about 10 minutes.

Only if you enable it: Porter can send a welcome message at check-in, check in after the first night to make sure everything is ok, and send a friendly reminder on checkout day. You can also have Porter ask for a review at checkout. You’re always in control — configure exactly what Porter does, from minimal to full guest journey support.
How does Porter know what to recommend?
Porter combines two sources: your personal tips — favorite restaurants, activities, local secrets — and what it knows about the area around your property. Guests get suggestions that feel personal and relevant, not generic. You can add or update recommendations anytime, just by texting Porter.
